The E12-Summit has established itself as the leading platform for informal exchange of information and visionary structuring. The E12-Summit is Germany's lobby for electronic business – a cross-sector group which directs and promotes the implementation of electronic business methods across the board in the German economy by means of exchanges of experience and the development of action alternatives. The aim of the E12-Summit is to provide an exclusive forum for the exchange of opinion on current topics in electronic business between the decision makers of leading German companies, and to effectively market e-business in terms of PR. The E12-Summit is also an opportunity to build up a personal network linking business and academic partners (especially through innovative event formats and E12-Publications). Its intention is to facilitate a new form of exchange between managers who have proved themselves to be cosmopolitan, open minded, enthusiastic and flexible.
The Institute of Electronic Business supports the E12-Summit on organizational issues and in the consolidation of its results, by arranging for the publication of studies, collaborative crosssector case studies and E12-Books, including best practice examples from E12 companies. The topics discussed at E12-Summits thus get a lasting scientific and methodological underpinning.
