The Institute of Electronic Business (IEB) is an application-oriented research institute which, as a public-private-partnership, allows the transfer of research and academic theory to business. A Masters program in "Leadership in Digital Communication" is offered in close cooperation with the Berlin University of the Arts and the Universität St. Gallen.
The focus of the Research Center Digital Communication at IEB is on Performance Marketing, Innovation Management, Mobile & Wireless Communication and Digital Mid Tier, which, in terms of the networking concept, is made accessible by means of trend sports, summits and research workshops by an interested target group, amongst other things.
The goal of the IEB is to support the development of the information society in the long term and to expand its extensive competence in this area in an application-oriented manner. One important tool in this regard is the integration and linking of its partners which include leading businesses as well as institutions from politics and society in general.
By initiating extraordinary event formats, the IEB has become an innovative hub between science, business and users: regular industry or subject-specific working groups are as much a part of the portfolio as complex congress formats.
Numerous projects have been successfully completed in cooperation with business, government and together with other institutes of higher education. Issues dealing with the new, global electronic market as well as the impact on communication, management, marketing, and media design are dealt with.
